How do you find happiness?
Happiness is a string of moments, not a state of being since happiness is fleeting. To me happiness is spending time doing things that bring me joy, with people that bring me joy. Add to that a job that gives me purpose, and voila! Seems like a simplistic view of happiness but there are things that complicate this simple formula. Responsibilities, taxes, politics, identity, the list goes on. We can use Maslow's hierarchy of needs to extrapolate a lot of things that get in the way of happiness. But to keep this one short, the only way to get closer to happiness is to do something about your current situation.
How do you find happiness?
I'm working on this. I'll let you know. The only thing I am certain of right now is that happiness is not found in manufactured food and chemicals parading around as food.

If you don't know the truth about something yet, then it comes by sharing your experiences about that something with others, discussing them and then coming to a consensus. Achieving this involves doing things to test its truthiness. But there's no absolute truth.

Get rid of ego and desire. I want happiness. Take out "I" and "want" and you're left with "happiness".

Meaning in life normally comes from experience that takes you out of personal habitual habits to a deep connection with what is happening here and now.

Well, good is just a word that is defined according to your life experience. To me good is anything that brings a sense of well being.

Adherence to internal consistency, logic and consistency with reality, empiricism. It is the best we know of when it comes to knowing truths, if truth is to mean anything at all that is.

It's an idea that keeps me in check. As long as I believe that nothing is handed to me that I can't handle, then I believe that there is greater good. I believe in karma, and I think God has a lot to do with karma.
